Maspalomas Pride by Freedom 2027

Monday 3 - Sunday 9 May 2027; parade of floats Saturday 8 May at 4pm

Seven days, 22 events and 14 artists. The parade of floats and demonstration is on Saturday 8 May at 4pm, from the Hotel Riu Palace Maspalomas to the Yumbo. The rest of the week is pool parties, guest parties and nightly events at the Pride Park.

Where: Playa del Ingles and the Yumbo Centre - 25 minutes from Amadores.

Why go: The Saturday parade is the part you watch from the pavement rather than from a pool party - an afternoon out, and you are back on the beach for the evening.

Dia de Canarias

Sunday 30 May 2027

The islands' own day. Only the date is fixed: in 2027 it falls on a Sunday, and Mogan's programme for it comes out in May, a few weeks before.

Where: Island-wide; in Mogan the town hall publishes the local programme.

Why go: The date is certain and the programme is not. Ask in Mogan in May and you will get the town's own plan for the day.

Rally Islas Canarias - Rally de Espana 2027

Thursday 6 - Sunday 9 May 2027 (51st edition)

Spain's round of the World Rally Championship and the 51st running of the event: round five of the 15-round 2027 calendar, and one of only four on asphalt. 2027 is the third season in a row the championship has come to the island.

Where: Island-wide stages, based in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

Why go: Four days with no single place to go: the stages are spread across the island, so pick one from the stage map when it is published and make a day of it.
