Home to Amadores Beach
Golf Courses and Country Clubs in Gran Canaria
Amadores Beach sits on Gran Canaria's south-west coast, and it makes a
comfortable base for a golfing holiday. The island's nearest course is barely
two kilometres away, the resort courses around Maspalomas and Meloneras are a
short drive or bus ride east, and the oldest club in Spain is a day trip to
the north. There is no golf course in Amadores or Puerto Rico itself, but you
are never far from a tee.
What follows is a course-by-course guide to what is within reach of the
beach, what each club asks for a round and how to book. Not every club
publishes a current green fee, so where a price is shown it is the venue's own
published rate; where it is not, we point you to the club's own booking route
rather than guess.
Where to Play Golf Near Amadores
Two areas cover almost everything. Anfi Golf by Lopesan, up the Tauro
valley in Mogán, is the closest course to the beach. The Maspalomas cluster –
Lopesan Meloneras Golf, Maspalomas Golf and Salobre Golf & Resort – lies
in the neighbouring municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana. A fifth, the
Real Club de Golf de Las Palmas, is a classic northern club at Santa Brígida,
best treated as a day trip.
Anfi Golf by Lopesan (Anfi Tauro) – the nearest course
Anfi Golf by Lopesan, still widely known as Anfi Tauro, is the course you
can reach in minutes from Amadores. It stands in the municipality of Mogán at
Bco. del Lechugal, Valle de Tauro s/n, 35138 Mogán, roughly 2 to 2.5 km from
the beach. The championship layout is an 18-hole, par-72 course in an
Arizona-desert style, designed by Von Hagge, Smelek & Baril, and a separate
9-hole par-3 course runs alongside it for a shorter round.
Green fees (Anfi's own published rates, checked October
2026):
- Winter (October–April), 18 holes: €145 general, or
€116 for Anfi members and resort clients
- Winter, 18 holes junior: €102 / €82
- Winter, 9 holes: €87 / €70; twilight from 15:00
€94 / €75
- Summer (May–September), 18 holes: €90 general / €72
member-client; junior €63 / €50; 9 holes €54 / €43; twilight €59 / €47

€40 / €32
- Multi-round vouchers (winter, general): 4 rounds
€552, 5 rounds €690, 6 rounds €828
On the championship course a buggy is compulsory all year and costs €25
per person, and a set of clubs can be rented for €45. All prices include
IGIC, the Canary Islands' local tax.
How to book: through the course's own rates and booking
page at anfi.com,
or through the island's golf booking engine at
open.imaster.golf.
Non-members are welcome — there is a general rate alongside the member rate.

Lopesan Meloneras Golf
Lopesan Meloneras Golf lies in Meloneras, in the municipality of
San Bartolomé de Tirajana, at GC-500 s/n, 35100 Meloneras. It is an 18-hole,
par-71 course designed by Ron Kirby and opened in 2006. Like Anfi it is a
Lopesan course, so the two share a season calendar and a similar price
structure.
Green fees (the venue's own published rates, checked
October 2026):
- Winter (October–April), 18 holes: €145 general, or
€116 for Lopesan hotel guests
- Winter, 18 holes junior: €102 / €82
- Winter, 9 holes: €87 / €70; twilight from 15:00
€94 / €75
- Summer (May–September), 18 holes: €90 general / €72

melonerasgolf.es,

Maspalomas Golf
Maspalomas Golf is the island's established classic: an 18-hole, par-73
course designed by Mackenzie Ross and opened in 1968, in the Maspalomas
resort area of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, at Avda. T.O. Neckermann s/n,
35100 Maspalomas. It is run as a public pay-and-play course.
The club does not publish a current public green fee on its own site, and
the club's day rate is best confirmed when you book rather than taken from a
third-party listing.
How to book: online at
open.imaster.golf
or through open.teeone.golf.
Telephone +34 928 762 581 or email reservas@maspalomasgolf.net.
Salobre Golf & Resort
Salobre Golf & Resort is in San Bartolomé de Tirajana, at
Autopista GC-1 Km 53. It has two courses. The Old Course is an 18-hole, par-71
layout by Roland Favré, opened in 1999 and host to the Spanish PGA in 2006.
The New Course, designed by Ron Kirby and built in 2008, returns to a full
18 holes at par 70 for the 2026/27 season.
Note the entry requirements: a valid federation licence is required, and
the handicap limit is Men 28 / Women 36.
How to book: tee times are booked online through
open.teeone.golf.
The resort's current rate sheet is not published in a readable form, so
confirm the day's green fee when you book.
Real Club de Golf de Las Palmas (Bandama)
The Real Club de Golf de Las Palmas is the grand old name of Canarian
golf. It was founded in 1891, making it the oldest golf club in Spain, and its
18-hole, par-71 course was laid out by Mackenzie Ross at Santa Brígida, in the
north of the island. It is a different day out from the resort courses — and
a much longer trip from Amadores, so plan it as an excursion.
The club's current green fee is not published as a public 2026 rate, and
visitor tee times are limited, so it is worth booking well ahead through the
club's reservation form.
How to book: through the club's online reservation form
at rcgolflaspalmas.com,
or by email to 1891@rcglaspalmas.com or reservas@rcglaspalmas.com.
One Green-fee Card, Three Courses
Anfi Golf by Lopesan, Lopesan Meloneras Golf and Maspalomas Golf share a
green-fee card, so rounds bought as a multi-round voucher can be played
across all three. If you are staying for a week and want to move around,
that is the most economical way to play the Lopesan-group courses.
Getting There
Anfi Golf by Lopesan is the one course close enough to Amadores to be
reached in a very short drive, roughly 2 to 2.5 km up the Tauro valley. The
Maspalomas cluster is further east and is easily reached by bus or car.
Guaguas Global, the island's public bus operator, runs the
Line 90 service (Telde to Faro de Maspalomas, semi-direct)
directly past Playa de Amadores, and its
Av. T.T.O.O. Neckermann "Campo de Golf" stops sit right by Maspalomas Golf —
so Amadores to Maspalomas Golf needs no change of bus. Lines 33 and 39 also
call at Playa de Amadores, and Line 9 serves the stop as well. See our
guide to getting to Amadores for the bus
routes and airport links in more detail.
Mini-golf in Amadores and Puerto Rico
For a gentler round, the mini-golf in Amadores is the small six-hole
course at the Sol Amadores holiday club, where clubs and balls are handed out
at reception. In Puerto Rico, the Angry Birds Activity Park on Avda. de la
Cornisa includes a mini-golf court among its attractions, and it is included
in the entry price.
Further east, the Minigolf Gran Canaria network — Yumbo, Atlántico and
Maritim — is in Playa del Inglés rather than Puerto Rico, but it is an easy
trip and adult prices are around €9.00 to €9.50. You will also find more
details of these and other nearby pastimes in our guide to
outings and nearby sights.
Good to Know Before You Book
- Book ahead for winter. The October–April season
carries the higher tariff at both Lopesan courses, and the summer rate
from May to September is considerably lower.
- Bring proof of handicap for Salobre. A valid
federation licence is required and the handicap limit is Men 28 / Women
36.
- You do not need to be a member. Anfi and Meloneras
both publish a general rate alongside their member or guest rate, and
Maspalomas Golf is a public pay-and-play course.
- Rates move with the season. Every price on this page
is the venue's own published rate as checked in October 2026; confirm the
current figure with the club when you book.
